Blogging for Traffic?
Hey Gang,
After several days of dealing with storms and cleaning up
the messes they left along with the damage, I am back to deal with a subject
that is prevelant in todays Internet Marketing world.
Are you Blogging for Traffic? I guess that is what I am
doing (with little success). But I do not have a capture page or a sign-up
box for you to enter your info, I simply put my urls on here for you to
take advantage of if it is something that you need in your Internet Marketing
business.
Using your Blog to create an email list is a smart and
powerful strategy, but are you using your Blog to its fullest potential?
Most people just ad their opt-in form at the top of their
Blogs sidebar and never pay attention to it again… Sure it will catch the occasional
Subscriber but is it really doing the job?
Why are Blogs so effective? Because its easy to get ranked in
the Search Engines and you can get a ton of Targeted Traffic from all the new
sites that are popping up everywhere. But, what happens when they get to your blog?
They start reading your posts and if you are lucky like a Leprechaun, they will like it
and keep reading and possibly click on some of your links. But while thats going
on they have long since passed your opt-in box and probably never see it again.
Wouldnt it be far more effective if your opt-in form would
follow them? Float down the page unobtrusively , ever present for when they
decide to opt-in because they like the way you write and enjoy the experience.

Nice. It would be a good idea to have it implemented on your blog too =P Personally I have a video that plays with big arrows to the subscribe form. Having that inside a FAB would be a cool idea
The only simple rule to get free traffic is to post contents, as constantly as possible.
Great post! I think it was personal, at least the layout makes this seem really interesting. I agree with Tim that it would be cool to see the actual form floating around in here.
Nice idea. I’d be very careful about annoying your readers though. It’s a bit like having a high pressure salesman constantly nagging you – puts people off. Truly the best way is a capture page with a free offer.

You could also try just adding it with a plugin to the end or start of your posts as a text link.
There’s a free one I use called “what would seth godin do?”. that I use on one of my blogs it works quite well.
